Free Smoke Detectors

The Mansfield Fire Department is currently working with the American Red Cross to provide free smoke detectors in our district. The smoke detectors are installed by our fire personnel, free of charge. We will also remove any old, outdated smoke detectors and dispose of them. If you currently have smoke detectors in your home, we will also inspect and replace the batteries to ensure they are operational. If you would like for us to provide this service in your home, please contact the Mansfield Fire Department at 417-924-7401. Again, this is free of charge and the only stipulation is that you sign a form for our records.
